Our Approach

“The roots are in psychoanalysis, trunk in phenomenology and existentialism, and branches extend to transpersonal understandings.”

Our Philosophy

Effective therapy is a blend of art and science. Our lived experience is shaped by the meanings we assign to the world and our surroundings and the experiences we have; and those experiences affect us in different ways, potentially impacting our psychological and emotional well-being. If neglected, such experiences can sometimes lead to unhelpful coping patterns and defence mechanisms. Seeking therapy can help us navigate, process, and understand our experiences better. It is important that we make time for ourselves in a world that is driven by unrelenting standards.

Creating a sense of security is critical in therapy, because only when we feel safe can we comfortably explore more challenging topics. Our goal is always to provide a nurturing environment in which you can express yourself without shame or fear of judgement. Grounded in the present, we assist individuals in safely unpacking their experiences using trauma-informed and holistic approaches. Together, we will explore raw emotions, profound insights, and share moments of humour as we reconnect to our humanity. No matter how difficult your past or present struggles, we can work together to create a future that allows you to develop the life you desire.

It is crucial, however, to apply the knowledge gained during the weekly sessions to your daily life. Transforming concepts into tangible reality is a critical component of our work together.
We are integrative psychotherapists, which means we combine various therapeutic tools and approaches to serve your needs and goals by identifying your core emotional difficulties, and to help you consider alternative perspectives. Our approach is tailored to each client’s unique lived experience.
